Absolutely innovative vocal jazz Kaylé Brecher Bredux – Collected Edges

Absolutely innovative vocal jazz Kaylé Brecher BREDUX – COLLECTED EDGES:  Jazz vocalist Kaylé Brecher is among the most unique singers I’ve ever listened to, as you’ll find out when you read my review of her “Kayleidoscope” release last year.  On this latest album, you’ll hear absolutely innovative vocal jazz – but don’t just “take my word for it”… check out the video for the lead track, “Wild Child – World Of Trouble“, first…

…if you enjoyed what you saw in this video, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to Kayle’s YouTube channel, where you’ll find MANY more of her enchanting vocal performances.

Kaylé’s performance of her original “Back To The Red Clay” was worthy enough that it was published by Freddie Hubbard’s Hubtones… your ears will be stunned as you listen to the energy projected… I have no doubt that DJ’s of many stripes will be plugging this amazing song into playlists frequently!

The player list is far too long to itemize here, but check it out on her page for the CD… I couldn’t help but be reminded of my friend Amy Denio as I listened to the eclectic “Spy Music“…  you’ve NEVER heard vocal stylings like this… in her own words, Kaylé describes her singing… “Honestly, to me, every piece of music we do is like a short film complete with its own soundscape, color scheme, mood, intent, improvised script and personality. When we dance within it we must, by necessity, completely immerse ourselves in its individual identity.”

It was one of the shorter tracks, “Cool“, that instantly made it as my choice for personal favorite of the eleven superb offerings on the album… killer piano helped me to make my choice!

I give Kaylé and all her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00… that means, of course, that she also gets a “PICK” for “most unique jazz vocal”.  Get more information on Kaylé’s website.                                   Rotcod Zzaj
