Deliciously diverse jazz vocals Kayle Brecher – Kayleidoscope

Deliciously diverse jazz vocals Kayle Brecher – KAYLEIDOSCOPE:   I’ve been following Kayle’s amazing albums for a long time now, most recently her “This Is Life” release, which got a “PICK” from me… what Kayle brings to the jazz vocal arena is a sense of “fresh” and “different”… you’ll witness that in all it’s glory on her trailer video for “I Remember It Well”, the closer for the new album…

…if you enjoyed what you saw in this video, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to Kayle’s YouTube channel, where you’ll find MANY more of her enchanting vocal performances.

Her players, Ratzo Harris, Darryl Hall, Andy Lalasis, Jim Stager: bass; Dr. John Valerio, Michael Frank, Suzzette Ortiz, David Dzubinski: piano; Frank Butrey: guitar; Erik Johnson, Grant MacAvoy: drums and Doc Gibbs, Juan Castellanos, Joe Ruscitto: percussion execute each tasty and creative movement of Kayle’s arrangements on wonderful tunes like “Fruits Of The Spirit“… if any jazz tune should be nominated for an AWARD – this is IT, folks!

If you’re yearning for some laid-back vocal work, you’re going to fall in love (immediately) with “The Gentle Rain“… this little 4:09 jazz gem will be (I predict) a favorite with jazz DJ’s everywhere, so you can expect to hear it soon on your local station.

Kayle’s treatment of the jazz classic opener, “My Favorite Things“, is different than any performance of the tune you’ve ever heard… flawless recording and high-talent players make this the very best rendition of the song I’ve listened to – ever!

I’m not often “captivated” by jazz tunes… that’s usually more in the realm of New Age or mediation music… but my choice for personal favorite of the eleven exciting songs Kayle offers up for our jazz journey did just that… “Wonders Unfold” had me totally enchanted from the very first bass note on the intro… this is a magical tune that will have you spinning it over and over again.

I give Kayle and all her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on Kayle’s website.        Rotcod Zzaj
