Absolutely elegant soundscapes Andrew Colyer – Mists of Time

Absolutely elegant soundscapes Andrew Colyer – MISTS OF TIME:  I am sitting here totally in awe of Andrew’s magical keyboard work on this wonderful Pacific Northwest morning… he creates absolutely elegant soundscapes that go far beyond the “solo piano” pigeonhole… to get an intimate taste of his talent, I (most strongly) recommend that you watch the video created for the song “Overcoming“…

…I have no doubt that you will want to enjoy more of Andrew’s music after watching that video, so I recommend you SUBSCRIBE to Andrew’s YouTube channel, where you’ll find many more inspiring performances.

The powerfully deep tones of the bottom registers on Andrew’s keyboard reach right down into your soul on the 3:20 “Climb“, and the imagery he creates for you is simple, yet stunning… you’ll feel both the pain and joy of ascending to new heights… I predict that this piece will be getting some MAJOR airplay!

On the opening track, “Rain Notes: Storm“, you’ll hear Andrew’s impressions of Brian Eno’s work… great percussive effects that (once again) inspire your vision… the piece is only 2:05, so it will be getting lots of “replay” action on my player.

Music is a force to be reckoned with in the Universe, and the stunning sway Andrew projects on the introduction to “Moons of Jupiter” is one of the strongest examples of the purity of that power… an amazing performance that will stay in your mind for days (and months) to come!

As I listen to the beauty Andrew creates on the wonderful “Strings of the Ocean“, I am reminded of some of the magical creations our friend Michael Whalen has created for us… the piece is made even more amazing due to the fact that it was improvised (as many of the other songs on the album were).

I give Andrew a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this most enjoyable sonic journey.  Get more information on Andrew’s website as it becomes available.                                             Rotcod Zzaj
