Jared Gold hoppin’ Hammond B3 jazz Jared Gold – Reemergence

Jared Gold hoppin’ Hammond B3 jazz Jared Gold – REEMERGENCE:  Without doubt, Jared is one of THE best Hammond B3 jazz players I’ve heard, and that’s saying a lot, because I’ve been a fan of that particular organ ever since the early days of Jimmy Smith… as you listen to his rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Lookin’ For Another Pure Love” (this doesn’t release until May 4th, 2018; when the samples are up, I’ll link them in), your ears will realize just what kind of a treat they’re in for… the “ultra” in ultra-cool, to be sure!

Jared’s fantastic organ work is joined by players who are stellar in their own ways… Dave Stryker – guitar, Billy Hart – drums, Jeremy Pelt – trumpet, flugelhorn play seamlessly on all nine cuts… one of the most striking pieces (for me) is an original from Jared – “One For John A” is right up there at the top of my personal charts, & in fact, it earned a PERMANENT slot on my iPhone player (something that doesn’t often happen)… you won’t find a more energetic and totally unique approach to playing the Hammond B3 than you get on this astounding song.

Though I couldn’t find a song from this album, Jared has a LOT of songs on his YouTube channel… be sure and SUBSCRIBE to it to stay up to date on his totally hip interpretations of jazz on the B3.  My personal favorite of the nine pieces offered up is a Dave Stryker original titled “Nomad” that closes out the album… the whole feeling of that “desert rove” is created by the players here… SUPERB piece of jazz!

Jared and his fellow players get a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from me, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99.  Get more information on Jared’s website.      Rotcod Zzaj
