2Birds Band amazing creative musical adventure 2Birds Band – String Groover

2Birds Band amazing creative musical adventure 2Birds Band – STRING GROOVER:  Quite an amazing group of players here… you’ve got Gabe & Tony Bird on violins (and composers), George Crotty on cello, Evan Wierzbicki doing bass and Martin Beux on drums, and they are going to WOW you, folks! I want to start you off with a little documentary of their 2017 tour of France, just so you can see and hear their powerful dynamics together…

…you can (immediately) see that this isn’t your “standard” band, & it’s not just their notable talent on strings… this is THE energy, folks.  I predict that you will be hearing much, MUCH more from this fantastic group.  The production values are gem-quality, with every facet and nuance shining brilliantly!

The 7:40 “Le Joker” displays a real talent for composition, too… the length of the piece gives them plenty of space to move you in directions you’ve never experienced before… think Jean-Luc Ponty ala 21st Century greatness… I just LOVED this song, & it’s already earned a (rare) PERMANENT spot on my iPhone player… those strings just soar!

The 5:24 opener, “Amen Corner“, marches you through some of the most twisted chamber rhythms you’ve ever heard, and makes the purchase of the album well worth it.

The song that (easily) won my vote for personal favorite, though, is “Coal Burnin’ Grease Fire“, a string quartet unlike any you’ve ever heard… the 7:03 length gives plenty of latitude for each player to display their shining talent & highly skilled energy, and their pacing is pure perfection! These are true artists – even Frank Zappa would have endorsed them!

I give 2Birds Band a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of a (perfect) 5.00; which means, of course, that they also get my “PICK” for “most innovative band”.  Get more information about these exciting players at the 2Birds Band website.         Rotcod Zzaj
