Highly creative jazz fusion Pablo Embon – Harmony Tales

Highly creative jazz fusion Pablo Embon – HARMONY TALES:  If you are as dedicated a fan of highly creative jazz fusion, you will recognize the genius Pablo Embon has for playing it on his new album.  I was first exposed to his excellent talent when I reviewed his “Reminiscent Moods” album last year, where he got high marks from me… to get a glimpse of his magnificent style, I strongly recommend that you watch his video for “Nothing Left Behind“…

…you’ll find many more songs from the new release when you SUBSCRIBE to Pablo’s YouTube channel… do it now.

Though “Taste of Freedom” is a short piece, the percussion is dashing, and the guitar work will just blow you away… DJ’s will love the tune length (3:47), and I predict that this song will be getting MAJOR airplay on jazz stations around the globe!

Another thing that really stands out on Pablo’s latest album (his 19th, by the way) is the diversity he displays… different cultures are represented, and the music he crafts displays total talent… one of the best representations of those skills is the magnificently moving “Song of India“; some sweet changes, and the pacing is perfect; this one earned an “instant hit” status on my iPhone player, and will be staying there for a long time to come.

I found the keyboard work (especially the organ sections) on “Our Time” to be most likeable… there’s a real funky feeling, and when the guitar lead kicks in at about 2:27, Pablo will have you up & dancin’ ’round the room… one of the best fusion performances I’ve listened to (yet) this year!

The 5:21 “The Voice of Truth” is a tune you will find yourself coming back to again and again… fresh playing like you haven’t heard in a long time will attract your ear and hold on to it for the long term.

These songs are all originals (which is what I prefer to review and listen to), and of the dozen Pablo offers up for our aural adventure, I found the 5:30 “Calling Out” was my personal favorite… superb piano with great percussion and super guitar leads makes it an absolute WINNER!

I give Pablo a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this fascinating jazz journey.  Get more information on Pablo’s website.           Rotcod Zzaj
