High flying sonic beauty Todd Mosby – Aerial Views

High flying sonic beauty Todd Mosby – AERIAL VIEWS:   I’ve been enjoying (and loving) Todd’s fantastic guitar work for a good while now, most recently on his “Open Waters” album… what he and his players (Todd doing composition, acoustic, electric, Imrat guitars, Will Ackerman – guitar; Tom Eaton – synth; Jerry Marotta – drums; Charlie Bisharat – violin; Tony Levin, Michael Manring and Sean Harkness on bass, Lola Kristine – piano, vocals; Jeff Haynes – percussion; Premik R Tubbs – lap steel, woodwinds, wind synth and Kristin Hoffmann – backing vocals) give you on this new album is absolutely high flying sonic beauty… here’s a wonderful trailer/video Todd provided to give you an intimate look at the players and the production…

…you’ll find many more exciting performances when you SUBSCRIBE to Todd’s YouTube channel, as did I… I definitely recommend it.

The sense of movement and elevated views Todd and the players provide on the 4:01 “Blue Horizons” will give you a sense of freedom like you’ve never experienced… I have no doubt that DJ’s (of all types) will be plugging this beautiful sonic experience into their playlists regularly!

One of the shorter tunes, the 2:40 “Solo Flight“, will bring visions of zooming above all the trials and tribulations of today… there’s one primary keyword for this piece… “tasty“; it spins over and over again here in my studios.

Gliding“, the opening track, is the one that spurred my decision to add this entire album to my iPhone player (permanently)… few albums (much less songs) get a spot there… I’ve no doubt that from now on my GTO will feel like an aircraft as I cruise about the burgh, lol!

It was the beautifully sensitive piano intro for the 5:18 “Between The Clouds” that made it my choice for personal favorite of the dozen delightful songs offered up for our aural adventure… there’s a sense of “buildup” on this piece that really makes it appeal to my ears… this kind of artistry is, I’m sure, what prompted Will Ackerman to say ““In a career as a music producer for nearly 45 years, few musicians have impressed me as much as Todd Mosby“.

I give Todd and all his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on Todd’s Bandcamp page for the album.                     Rotcod Zzaj
