Especially enchanting musical beauty Delasito Project – Filodia

Especially enchanting musical beauty Delasito Project – FILODIA:   As you listen to the gentle vibraphone from Christos Sitokonstantinou on the 6:00 “Sleeptalking“, you’ll realize that he and his group create music that is engaging and especially enchanting… to get an up-close and personal visual of their performance on the mighty mellow 10:17 “Naida“, watch this video first…

…you will be able to enjoy MANY more videos and performances when you SUBSCRIBE to the Christos Delasito YouTube channel… some amazingly creative works there.

Christos is a classical percussionist whose innate musical sensitivities also translate (very nicely) to excellence on the vibraphone, which kind of “guides” the music created by the Delasito Project… besides his magical vibes, you will also hear Andreas Papagiannakopoulos doing electric guitar, Panagiotis Charalampopoulos on electric bass, Thanos Hatzianagnostou doing drums and Zisis Georgalios on kanun… the kind of music that DJ’s in all genres of music love to spin is clearly expressed on the closing title track, “Filodia“… gently flowing beauty for all to immerse themselves in!

You must be sure to listen to the eerie “Subway” with your headphones on… stimulating imagery is brought to life, and you’ll find yourself FEELING the movement of those great cars through the underground tunnels… in fact, that’s what I like most about Delasito’s music… there’s something unique in every movement… you’ll find yourself spinning this tune over and over again.

The liners proclaim that this release is “a music journey to jazzality”, and though I’m not even sure that’s a “real word”, I can easily understand what they meant… as I listen to my choice for personal favorite of the eight (long) tunes they offer up for our jazz journey, I find myself truly impressed… the somewhat oddly titled “Made in Chapan” is the longest performance on the album, and will carry you through many different moods – all of them highly pleasing!

I give Delasito Project a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information on the Delasito website.          Rotcod Zzaj
