Enchanted sonic gardens Peter Kater – Rapture

Enchanted sonic gardens Peter Kater – RAPTURE: There are certain pianists who automatically merit reviews on our pages… Peter is definitely one of them… his vision for this album takes you on a tour of enchanted sonic gardens that you will always remember fondly.  I’ve reviewed him many times, most recently on his inspirational “Wings” album… to get a taste for his grand and lively style of playing, watch this invigorating video from that release first…

Since you’re right there already, be sure you SUBSCRIBE to Peter’s YouTube channel, so you can enjoy all of the other marvelous performances and live shows he has posted for your enjoyment.

The new album isn’t just a solo effort, though… you’ll hear high-energy and high-talent piano, strings, saxophone, flute, oboe, bass and percussion from Peter (piano, keyboards, synth string arrangements); Richard Hardy (soprano saxophone, flutes); Jennifer Stucki (oboe); Bijoux Barbosa (bass); Mark Gorman (bass on Tracks 2 & 6) and Christian Teele (percussion, cajon, drums)… as the album doesn’t officially release until 4 June, 2021, samples aren’t available yet, but I can tell you that you will find yourself spellbound as you enter the “Valley Of Love”… each instrument is carefully meshed to make for one of the most exciting sonic weaves I’ve heard (yet) in 2021!

Visions that transcend the normal (in every way) on “Sweet Delight” will elevate your spirit to new realizations of your purpose on the planet… Peter’s keyboard on this performance is full-bodied and most meaningful… the 3:37 length will make the song a “natural” for inclusion on DJ playlists all ’round the globe.

The string weaves on the opening title track, “Rapture”, combined with flawless recording and an ethereal sense of exploration, will give you glorious chills up and down your spine… a simple, yet amazing sonic gem!

It only took me one listen through the dozen delightful songs to make my choice for personal favorite… “Come With Me” is your cue to join Peter in the joy that life can (and should) be each and every day of your life… if any song should be considered for an award – it is this one (and I predict that it WILL win awards).

There’s no doubt in my mind that this beautiful album will be considered as among Peter’s best work… I give him a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00… which means that he also gets a “PICK” from me for “most scintillating album of 2021”.  Get more information on Peter’s website as it becomes available.                               Rotcod Zzaj
