dynamically fresh modern jazz Tucker Brothers – Live At Chatterbox

dynamically fresh modern jazz Tucker Brothers – LIVE AT CHATTERBOX:  You’ll be able to get this CD in only a few days (official release date is 1 February, 2024), featuring Joel Tucker – Guitar, Nick Tucker – Bass, Sean Imboden – Tenor Saxophone and Carrington Clinton – Drums; they provide you with some of the most dynamically fresh modern jazz you’ll ever listen to.  There weren’t any live videos of this performance, so check out this 2020 live performance at “Naptown Sound” (slightly different players)…

The high-energy original “Rhythm Changed” will convince you (within the first few bars) that this is a band you want to keep your ears on… the song is one of the most exciting and invigorating I’ve listened to (yet) in 2024!

It was totally easy to make my choice for personal favorite of the seven superb songs they offer up for this excellent jazz journey… the 7:49 “Shakshuka“, another Tucker original, absolutely cooks with uptempo exuberance… truly great jazz, folks.

I’m highly impressed with this group, and have no doubt you will be as well.  I give them a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  You can learn more about the players by visiting Joel’s website, and order the album at the Bandcamp page for the album (below).
