Dynamically expressive jazz guitar dynamite Mike Scott – Collecting Things

Dynamically expressive jazz guitar dynamite Mike Scott – COLLECTING THINGS:  Though Mike has already released albums (this is his third), it’s my first listen to his dynamically expressive jazz guitar work… first, I strongly recommend that you check out his intimate playing style…

If you enjoyed Mike’s unique take on “God Bless The Child”, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to his YouTube channel, where you’ll find many more performances… I did it right away.

I particularly enjoyed “Jack’s Dilemma“, where Mike’s high-energy guitar leads are joined by Joe Bagg on piano and organ, Darek Oles on bass, and Jake Reed on drums… I’ll tell you right now, folks, jazz & blues DJ’s across the globe will be putting this tune into regular rotation!

Jazz guitar “purists” will fall in love immediately with Mike’s technique on the beautiful “Dark Bossa“… an easy pace and intimate interaction between the players makes it a tune you’ll be spinning over & over again.

It wasn’t hard for me to make my choice for personal favorite of the ten tunes Mike & crew offer up for our listening pleasure… the 5:01 “Boom Diddle It” gets right “into” it… every note will have you dancing and soaring ’round your living room, to be sure… this is THE best jazz guitar tune I’ve listened to (yet) in 2021!

I give Mike and his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this superb (and highly collectible) album.  Get more information on Mike’s website.                                   Rotcod Zzaj
