Deliciously different Gene Pritsker – Hiphopsichord

Deliciously different Gene Pritsker – HIPHOPSICHORD:   You aren’t going to believe what your ears are treated to on this deliciously different sonic adventure from our friend Gene Pritsker… he’s joined by harpsichordist Magdalena Baczewska, and the duo project POWER far beyond what you might expect from a duo like this… dense, rich and thick tones meld ingeniously together with Magdalena’s upbeat playing and take you on a ride like you’ve never been on before… to get an up-close and personal view of Magdalena’s playing, I suggest you watch this video first…

…if you want to see a lot more “different” performances, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to Gene’s YouTube channel right away.

On the EP (it’s about 16 minutes long), Gene mixes heavy hip-hop beats with amazing orchestral sounds against Magdalena’s stunning harpsichord… one of the most powerful songs I’ve heard (yet) in 2020 is the 4:07 “Hopsichord mvmnt 1” (samples will be added when I’m informed that this has gone live).

Three movements, with two harpsichord “Interludes”, make the EP clock in at just over 16 minutes, and it’s a most enjoyable listen… you are cautioned, though, that you should be sitting in your living room, with your headphones on, when you first sit down to absorb it…

As is always true, Gene and Magdalena have created “new” and “different” sounds for you that will simply blow you away.  I give them a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this excellent excursion.  Get more information on Gene’s website as it becomes available.
