Ancient fantasies brought to life Danaë Xanthe Vlasse – Mythologies

Ancient fantasies brought to life Danaë Xanthe Vlasse – MYTHOLOGIES:  Wow – it’s been quite some time since I reviewed “Solstice” from Danaë, where she got very high marks from me… her exciting new album gives you ancient fantasies brought to life by her piano and vocal works, along with many other artists… I strongly recommend that you watch the video below, which features many of the artists on her new album, such as vocalists Hila Plitmann and Sangeeta Kaur, and pianist Robert Thies…

If you enjoyed that as much as I did, you’ll want to make sure you SUBSCRIBE to Danaë’s YouTube channel right away.

On “Poseidon & Odysseus”, the soaring classical vocals are enhanced very nicely by one of our favorite flutists, Wouter Kellerman… truly contemporary classical at it’s finest and most powerful… I have no doubt that this beautiful performance will be recommended for (and WIN) awards… in fact, it has already been submitted to the Recording Academy™ for consideration!

The piano and flute introduction for the beautiful “Penelope” (daughter of Icarius of Sparta in Greek mythology) is joined by marvelous vocals that give you a strong sense of her unfailing fidelity.

In classical music, the “pacing” is of primary importance, and the wonderful “Nepenthe”, though reflecting back across eons, is timely in the sense that especially in today’s ever-changing world, we often need music that helps to induce forgetfulness of pain or sorrow – as well as hope for the future!

My choice for personal favorite of the seven songs offered up features Danaë’s enchanting piano together with percussion from Emilio D. Miler… be sure you have your headphones on as you listen to “Metamorphoses”… the 17:37 performance provides intimate views of Danaë’s artistic skills… this song is (without question) the best contemporary classical piece I’ve listened to (yet) in 2021.

I give Danaë and all her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on Danaë’s website as it becomes available.                                                         Rotcod Zzaj
