Uniquely dynamic dialogues Rodney Jordan and Christian Fabian – Conversations

Uniquely dynamic dialogues Rodney Jordan and Christian Fabian – CONVERSATIONS:  I’ve reviewed both Rodney and Christian here, but on this fantastic new album, they create uniquely dynamic dialogues that any jazz listener will fall in love with immediately.  I didn’t see any LIVE videos for the new release, but you can listen to the entire album by clicking below…

You’ll also find several other tasty jazz journeys when you SUBSCRIBE to Rodney’s YouTube channel… I did it right away.

As many of you know, originals by the artists are what I enjoy most… that was especially true for their composition “Happy To Be Alive“… it’s completely evident that they find joy in playing together… I predict jazz DJ’s across the globe will be plugging this energetic dialogue into their playlists on a regular basis!

Rodney’s original “Robin’s Theme” also got very high marks from me… it’s the longest track on the album, so each artist has plenty of time to “say what they’ve got to say” in a most brilliant way.

The duo’s performance of Mike Longo’s song “Just For You” opens the album very nicely, with one of the most high-energy performances I’ve heard (yet) in 2021… what they present for your ears on this song is simple, but amazing!

Rodney and Christian made it quite easy to make my choice for personal favorite of the dozen delightful songs offered up… it’s their joint composition titled “Conversations 4” that won my vote… this tune really moves, folks.

I give this excellent album a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect)  “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00… meaning that they also get a “PICK” from me for “best bass duo album”.  Get more information on Rodney’s website.              Rotcod Zzaj
