unique blend of classical modern jazz and korean traditional music – Hyeseon Hong Jazz Orchestra – Things Will Pass

unique blend of classical, modern jazz, and Korean traditional music – HYESON HONG JAZZ ORCHESTRA – THINGS WILL PASS:  One of the reasons music lovers are drawn to our reviews is because our only criteria is the “energy quotient”; on jazz orchestra composer and band leader Hyesong’s unique blend of classical, modern jazz and Korean traditional music, you’ll find all of that and more.  Check out this wonderful introduction to the album from Hye Seon first…

If you enjoyed that, you can find many more excellent performances when you SUBSCRIBE to the Hye Seon Hong YouTube channel (as I did).

The album officially releases on 23 August, 2024, and you’ll find totally enchanting performances on it… the player list is too long to itemize here, but you can read it on the Indiegogo page for the album.  One of the tunes I was most impressed with is the 5:01 closer, “We Will Meet Again“… Rich Perry’s fantastic saxophone is just superb on this piece, and I have no doubt you’ll love it as much as we did!

It was the 7:08 “Treasure Hunt” that turned out to be my personal favorite of the nine mind-numbing performances… the orchestra is in full-form high energy mode on this piece, and will fill your heart with the joy of discovery and emergence.

I give Hyeseon and her high-talent orchestra a well-deserved MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this superb album.  Check her Spotify channel (below) when it gets a bit closer to the release date.
