Unforgettable magical music Holland Phillips – A Momentary Pause

Unforgettable magical music Holland Phillips – A MOMENTARY PAUSE:  It’s been just over a year since I reviewed Holland’s “A Presence of Three Minds”, where he got high marks… he’s been reviewed here several times, in fact.  Though I didn’t see a LIVE video there, you’ll want to SUBSCRIBE to his YouTube channel, where you’ll find several other enchanting performances from his albums.

The new album doesn’t hit the streets until August 28th, 2020, so you won’t find samples yet (I’ll come back and add them as soon as I’m told the album has gone live)… songs like the 4:04 “Stepping Stones” will hold you enchanted the entire time… Holland uses guitars, flute, keyboards and pianos with superior skill throughout the performance… DJ’s will be spinning this excellent song often!

The beautiful strings on the opener, “Upon Awakening”, demonstrate the unique skill Holland has for “pacing” a tune to give maximum benefit to the listener… I (most strongly) recommend that you listen to this tune with your headphones on, so you can catch every sweet nuance.

The keyboards on the title track, “A Momentary Pause”, make it an absolute winner… I believe this piece will be nominated for (and WIN) awards… it certainly would if I were on the committee!

A poignant sense of nostalgia and longing is conveyed beautifully on “Our Sweeter Days”… this is one of the tunes from the album that (instantly) made it a pick for my iPhone player (something that only the best songs get)…

Of the ten tantalizing tunes offered up for our aural adventure, my choice for personal favorite is (without question) the 4:46 “Palindrome”… Holland paints swirling images and a kaleidoscope of memories that morph into solid hope for the future!

I give Holland a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this most unique musical journey.  Get more information on Holland’s website as it becomes available.                                Rotcod Zzaj
