Thrilling off-the-cuff improvisation Anthony Fung – Fo(u)rth

Thrilling off-the-cuff improvisation Anthony Fung – FO(U)RTH:  Drummer Anthony Fung has put together a very dynamic album, featuring thrilling off-the-cuff improvisation that you will feast upon… I (most STRONGLY) recommend that you check out the LIVE performance of the opening track, “The Valley“, first…

You’ll find several other highly refreshing jazz performances when you SUBSCRIBE to Anthony’s YouTube channel, too… this is a performer you’ll want to keep your eyes and ears on, folks.

What’s most clear from listening to my personal favorite of the 8 tunes offered up, “Boo Boo’s Birthday“, is that the players (Anthony’s dynamic drums, Luca Alemanno, bass, Michael Ragonese, piano and modern saxophone legend Mark Turner) can “feel each other’s colors“, as Anthony says in the one-sheet… an absolutely stunning performance of Monk’s tune!

The official album release date is 29 September, 2023, only a few days away from this writing… you’ll be able to find it on Anthony’s Spotify channel soon after, I’m sure…
