Tantalizing thoughtful solo piano Nathan Speir – Finding A Way To Be

Tantalizing thoughtful solo piano Nathan Speir – FINDING A WAY TO BE:  As I listen to Nathan’s tantalizing and thoughtful solo piano work this morning, I find refreshment for my spirit and a soul-warming sense of peace… the video below will give you an intimate look at Nathan performing solo…

…if you want more than “just a glimpse”, be sure you SUBSCRIBE to Nathan’s YouTube channel (as did I) to find many more enchanting performances and recordings.

Even Jonah would find beauty in Nathan’s colorful and image-filled creation on “Waltz Of A Whale“… I predict that this tune will be getting HUGE amounts of airplay by DJ’s (of all stripes) across the globe!

I’m particularly intrigued by Nathan’s piano “touch style”… you’ll hear exactly what I mean as you listen to the 4:44 “See The Sky In The Water“… I just love the way he uses the high notes to emphasize the deeper registers on this composition… nothing overstated, but full of the richness of life.

The title track, “Finding A Way To Be“, offers up hope for all of us, in a very positive way… having been through a fair amount of therapy involving music myself, I have no doubt that music therapists across the land will find this to be useful, too.  If I were in a position to do so, I would make sure this tune were played in our schools on a daily basis… inspiring piano, to be sure!

You’ll hear a few darker tones during the introduction to “Rest For A Sullen Heart“, as you might expect from the title, but Nathan’s perfect pacing and use of overtones allows the experience to evolve into a quite calming listen.

I’ve always been somewhat of a wordsmith, so unique titles always catch my eye, as well as my ear… in this case, it was easy to make my choice for personal favorite of the thirteen enlightening performances Nathan offers up… the opener, “One Way Train Away From Politics“, enchanted my soul from the very first note… a full-bodied piece that will make Nathan’s piano your friend!

I give Nathan a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information and purchase the album on Nathan’s website.                        Rotcod Zzaj
