swinging infectiously rich jazz journeys Live Edge Trio – Closing Time

swinging infectiously rich jazz journeys Live Edge Trio – CLOSING TIME:  The trio you will enjoy here has Ben Markley’s piano, bass from Seth Lewis, drums by Andy Wheelock and vibraphone from special guest Steve Nelson… it is some of the most swinging infectiously rich jazz you will ever listen to… here’s a performance of the trio from earlier sessions to let you get familiar with their uniquely wonderful styles…

You can enjoy many other performances when you SUBSCRIBE to Andy’s YouTube channel… I signed up right away.

The opener, “Ben’s Tune“, is a 6:43 original from pianist Ben, and is simply stunning… this is an example of the kind of jazz that makes folks the world over enthusiastic about the genre… Steve’s vibraphone on this performance is the best I’ve heard (yet) in 2024!

There was no question as to what my personal favorite of the 7 scintillating tunes would be… drummer Andy’s 10:17 original “Hope” gives total latitude to all the performers and shows the high-talent and energy of each… you will find yourself listening to this piece over and over (and OVER) again.  Amazingly beautiful jazz.

The trio+ gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating from me, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this excellent album, released on May 17th, 2024.  Get more information on the Origin Records page for the group.
