Superb vocal jazz improvisation Cheryl Richards – Another Spring

Superb vocal jazz improvisation Cheryl Richards – ANOTHER SPRING:  Cheryl’s new album will be released in October, 2022, and if you love superb vocal jazz improvisation, you’ll fall in love with her high-energy talent right away.  First, check out “My Melancholy Baby“…

To hear more of her songs, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to her Cheryl Richards vocalist channel on YouTube.

Supporting her marvelous vocals, you’ll hear Nick Lyons, alto saxophone; Adam Caine, guitar; Adam Lane, bass and Vijay Anderson, drums, and on tunes like “Love You Madly“, you’ll hear why I totally dig what Cheryl and her quintet are doing… I predict this tune will be getting a LOT of airplay on jazz stations all ’round the globe!

Great drum intro on “Love Me or Leave Me“… this song definitely cooks, and you’ll find yourself spinning it over and over (and OVER) again, folks.

On the excellent opener, “The Song is Ended (But the Melody Lingers On)“, your ears may be a bit challenged at first, but by the final bar, you’ll realize you’re in the presence of a true jazz vocal master!

I had no trouble making my choice for personal favorite of the ten tantalizing tracks Cheryl offers up for our jazz adventure… on the 6:52 “Mood Indigo“, there’s room for each player to soulfully express themselves… a GREAT performance, with wonderful pacing.

I give Cheryl and all her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information on Cheryl’s website.   Rotcod Zzaj
