suite jazz beauty Jake Leckie – Planter of Seeds

suite jazz beauty Jake Leckie – PLANTER OF SEEDS:  You’ll find yourself totally engaged as you listen to the suite jazz beauty that bassist/composer Jake and his bandmates perform for you on this upcoming release (7 June, 2024)… to get a feel for the album, watch this excellent promo video for the album…

If you enjoyed that as much as I did, you won’t hesitate to SUBSCRIBE to Jake’s YouTube right away… over 20 performances to enjoy there.

The group projects solid power on one of my favorite original tunes (yet) in 2024; the 4:14 “Clear Skies” (samples should be available closer to the release date; I’ll post them as soon as I’m informed they are ready)… in addition to Jake’s sweet bass, you’ll also hear Nadav Peled – guitar,  Beth Goodfellow – drums, Cathlene Pineda – piano, Randal Fisher – saxophone and Darius Christian – trombone… stunning improvisations and high-energy all the way through the song!

I had no doubt (from the opening note) that my choice for personal favorite of the eight exciting tunes would be the 5:26 “Big Sur Jade”… as the bass solo starts, it gradually morphs into a show for each player to display their high-talent creativity (and stun you in the process)… BEAUTIFUL jazz movements that you will never forget.

Jake and all his players get a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating from me, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this excellent jazz journey.  Get more information on Jake’s Spotify channel (below) as it gets closer to the release date.
