Splendid jazz collaboration Andorra – Andorra

Splendid jazz collaboration Andorra – ANDORRA:  All the way from Denmark, & straight to your listening room, here’s a splendid jazz collaboration from the band Andorra, comprised of Mads la Cour – trumpet, flugelhorn; Martin Jørgensen – bass; Nikolaj Bundvig – drums; Simon Krebs -guitar and Peter Kohlmetz Møller – keys… as always, the best way to get acquainted with a group is to watch them first…

You’ll find other tunes and performances when you SUBSCRIBE to the Andorra Indiejazz channel on YouTube, too… I signed up right away.

Their sound is absolutely “together”, as evidenced by a tune I believe will be getting some MASSIVE airplay from DJ’s of all stripes over the coming months… “Orbit” takes you right out into the stratosphere in one of the grooviest jazz tunes I’ve listened to (yet) in 2021!

The Poet” features some absolutely mesmerizing horn work by Mads against subtle percussion and amazing guitar work… I couldn’t help but think of my trumpet-playing friend Jeff Oster as I listened to this.

On the 4:30 closer, “Trip One“, you’ll feel like you’re floating (most pleasantly) through the etherspace, languishing in laid-back mode; at about the 1:33 mark, you’ll feel your spirit lifted up as the rest of the group joins in… this is a song that will be getting many replays here in my Zzaj listening studio!

The high-talent and high-energy of each member of the group just shines through on my choice for personal favorite of the six long songs offered up… “The Abandoned Circus” evokes haunting imagery that will keep you on the edge of your chair all throughout the tune.

I give Andorra a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for their excellent album.  Get more information at Jazzfuel.       Rotcod Zzaj
