Peaceful soundscapes David Franklin – Passings

Peaceful soundscapes David Franklin – PASSINGS:   It’s been a while since I reviewed multi-instrumentalist David’s “Songs Of Potential Embrace“, but his reflections and peaceful soundscapes on this new album are fantastic… I was especially impressed with the guitar beauty on “The Meeting Tree“, which you can see/hear on YouTube…

You’ll be amazed at the high-energy and talent of David Franklin: acoustic guitars, piano, synthesizer and programmable music box; Michael Manring: fretless bass and Alex Franklin: guitar on “Another Perspective” and “The Meeting Tree”… I certainly was.

David’s piano on the 3:05 “Laughing In Whispers” will reach deep down into your heart and have you joining in the joy… I have no doubt that DJ’s (of all stripes) across the globe will be putting this on their playlists for regular rotations!

Great guitar on “The Zebra Song“, which projects a spirit of life and the living of it that’s seldom heard in the music of today… I absolutely loved this beautiful song… it will be getting lots of “replay” action here in my studios.

Changes” is in a more somber zone, and will (undoubtedly) stir your emotions as deeply as it did mine… if any song merits consideration for an award – it is this one!

I had no difficulty (whatsoever) in making my choice for personal favorite of the fifteen songs offered up… “Another Perspective” also features Alex’s guitar… tasty licks, superb recording and total talent make this a song you’ll fall in love with, no doubt.

I give David and his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this exceptional album.  Get more information on David’s website.                                 Rotcod Zzaj
