Original piano beauty Herb Silverstein – Magic Hands

Original piano beauty Herb Silverstein – MAGIC HANDS:  As the albums roll in for review, it’s clear that the perilous times of the pandemic have been responsible for a lot of great musical creativity, and the original piano beauty that pianist Herb and bassist Michael Ross create for you is among the best of those offerings.  Just listen to “Breath of Fresh Air Blues” to get an idea of how fantastic the duo plays together…

I didn’t see a YouTube channel dedicated to Herb, but if you click on the following search, you’ll find all the tunes from the album.

You’ll feel and see the brilliant colors of “Sunday Brunch” as you listen to it; it brought back memories for me of breakfasts in Hawaii with sunlit beaches and beauty; DJ’s will be plugging this song into their playlists often, I predict!

It’s been a while since I gave high marks to Herb’s “Monday Morning” album, but his star surely shines on songs like the title track, “Magic Hands“… skillful playing that’s jammed with emotion.

The insightful reflections Herb and Michael provide on the beautiful “Century Remembered” made it my choice for personal favorite of the eleven offered up… be sure to listen with your headphones on, so you can catch every interaction between the piano and bass!

I give Doctor Silverstein and Michael a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on Herb’s website.      Rotcod Zzaj
