new jazz inspirations Steve Smith and Vital Information – New Perspective

new jazz inspirations Steve Smith and Vital Information – NEW PERSPECTIVE:  High-energy and high-talent drummer Steve Smith is joined by Manuel Valera – acoustic piano, Fender Rhodes and synths and Janek Gwizdala – electric bass, and what they’ve (re)created from previous hits by Steve will absolutely give you new jazz inspirations… watch this (earlier) performance of “The Perfect Date” from 2024 (I don’t believe this performance is from the album, but it still will hold you totally spellbound)…

Be sure to follow my lead and SUBSCRIBE to Steve’s YouTube channel, so you can enjoy many more of their performances (over 300 available).  You’ll be glad you did.

I found Manuel’s “Three Of A Kind” to be one of the best jazz tunes I’ve listened to in 2024… the keyboards by Valera are stunning, and will have you totally engaged from the opening note to the last bar!

There was absolutely no doubt in my mind as to what my personal favorite of the nine tunes offered up would be; as I listened to “Eight + Five”, with fantastic drums from Steve, excellent keyboards from Manuel and exciting electric bass, I found myself in a “loop” I couldn’t stop, as I just kept playing if over and over (and OVER) again… excellent jazz.

Steve and his musical compatriots get a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating from these old ears, and a 4.99 EQ (energy quotient) score for this superb new album.  Get more information on Steve’s website or on his Spotify channel below as it gets closer to the release date…
