Inwardly focused inspiration Jill Haley – Wrapped In Light

Inwardly focused inspiration Jill Haley – WRAPPED IN LIGHT:  Frequent readers here know that I’ve been reviewing multi-instrumentalist Jill Haley for many years now, and have always been impressed with the music she creates.  On her latest release, she used the time during the pandemic to compose some of the most inwardly focused inspiration you’ll ever hear or listen to… though I didn’t find a LIVE video, you can check out the album by clicking below…

You can enjoy many more of her works when you SUBSCRIBE to Jill’s YouTube channel, as well… I’ve been there for years.

In addition to Jill’s amazing work on piano, English horn, oboe and synthesizer, you’ll also hear her husband David Cullen (guitar) and their son Graham (cello) on beautiful songs like the 5:44 “Fields Be Jubilant“… the trio creates images of brilliantly lit (and endless) meadows for you to meander through without a care in the world… I have no doubt that this comforting song will be nominated for (and WIN) awards!

Jill’s synthesizer intro for “Flourishing Grass” is full-bodied and deeply moving… the recording quality is fantastic, and you will find yourself (as I did) listening to this emotionally satisfying performance over and over (and OVER) again… this is, in fact, one of the best songs I’ve listened to (yet) in 2021.

DJ’s of all stripes across the globe will be adding the 4:23 “Clouds Rise” to their playlists for constant rotation… what’s most striking about this gentle sonic journey is the very real sense of comforting images of puffy clouds passing across shimmering skies!

Jill’s synthesizer on “Wings of Dawn” leads into some miraculous cello and piano that will fill your heart with the hope and inspiration we all need in these often troubled times… truly one of the most encouraging songs I’ve listened to in recent times.

There was no difficulty in making my choice for personal favorite of the ten tantalizing tunes Jill and her players offer up for our aural enjoyment… “The Mountains Rose” features amazing synth strings and solid horn work to create a simple, yet beautiful, panorama of sound that you will never forget!

I give Jill and her players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99.  Get more information on Jill’s website.         Rotcod Zzaj
