highly impressive organ led debut Mitch Towne – Refuge

highly impressive organ led debut Mitch Towne – REFUGE:  Modern jazz organist Mitch is joined by guitarist Tetsuya Nishiyama and drummer Jeffery Johnson on this highly impressive organ led debut release, due out on April 1st, 2025… here’s a song from the album to give you an idea of what they are able to do together…

You’ll also find 60 other performances on Mitch’s YouTube channel… be sure to SUBSCRIBE (as I did, right away).

The 7:00 original from Mitch, “Some Work of Noble Note, May Yet Be Done”, takes you into the land of dreams, where every moment is a new nuance to a life well-lived… I absolutely loved this tune, because it shows Mitch’s full mastery of his instrument!

It was (without question) the 5:31 closer, “Act As If”, that easily won my vote for personal favorite of the seven stunning tracks offered up for this jazz journey.  Bouncy and vibrant on every note, with heavy bass lines from Tetsuya and dynamic drumming from Jeffery.

Mitch and his bandmates get a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this highly collectible debut album.  Get more information on Mitch’s website as it gets closer to the release date.
