What’s most striking about this duo is that you can actually hear their love of playing together on tunes like the 4:52 “Primas and Bordoes“… they create a warm and friendly atmosphere, and I predict DJ’s of all stripes ’round the globe will pick up on this and be adding it to their playlists frequently!
Danilo’s sensitive original waltz, “Chovia“, which closes out the album, is one of the most engaging songs I’ve listened to (yet) in 2022… it will be getting a great deal of “replay” here in my Zzaj listening studios… an absolutely awesome musical experience.
There was no challenge in making my choice for personal favorite of the nine songs offered up on the album… Danilo’s (original) “Salsito no Choro” infuses a subtle groove that will stay with you for months (if not years) to come… I totally enjoyed this song, and you will, too!
