Exuberant eclectic originals Rick Cutler – Women & Children

Exuberant eclectic originals Rick Cutler – WOMEN & CHILDREN:  It’s been a good while since I reviewed multi-instrumentalist Rick’s work in issue # 110, where he got good marks from me… on his fifth release, he gives us some of the most exuberant and eclectic originals you will hear in 2020.  Though I didn’t see any LIVE performances from the new adventure, you can check out several of his albums when you SUBSCRIBE to the Rick Cutler YouTube topic channel.

Rick’s lovely piano on his original creation, “Japanese Mist“, is joined by some wonderful wooden flute from Dave Wechsler, and the tune clearly displays Rick’s ability to bring a diversity of styles that few other artists are able to achieve… I predict this tune will be getting some huge amounts of airplay ’round the globe!

A truly good artist will be able to paint images for the listener to experience… it won’t be difficult at all for you to envision a romantic walk through mystical night streets as you listen to the well-crafted “Paris After Midnight“… totally tasty, especially if you put your headphones on as you check it out.

If you’re looking for music that’s truly soulful, you’re going to fall in love with the 9:37 title track (and closer), “Women & Children“, just like I did – INSTANTLY; superb pacing and a natural flow make this a tune that will lift your spirit high and make you feel the POWER of music!  This was my choice for personal favorite of the dozen tantalizing tunes Rick offers up!

I give Rick and his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this very tasty musical adventure.  Get more information about Rick and his music on the Rick Cutler website.           Rotcod Zzaj
