Extraordinary musical excursions Wayne Alpern – Jukebox

Extraordinary musical excursions Wayne Alpern – JUKEBOX:   The music we most enjoy is often that which we “grew up” with.. Wayne’s marvelous arrangements on his new release turn the “regular” into extraordinary musical excursions that we will treasure for years to come; you can enjoy the entire 20-song journey on Wayne’s YouTube topic channel

The players (Gretchen Pusch: flute; Gerard Reuter: oboe; Benjamin Fingland: clarinet; Karl Kramer-Johansen: horn and Adrian Morejon: bassoon) gather up our cherished tunes and turn them into gem performances like “Blue Moon“… you’ve never heard a more joyful version of this song than you’ll hear on this album!

I was both impressed and pleased when I reviewed Wayne’s “Scarab” tribute to The Beatles, and am even more impressed by the wizardry he displays in his arrangement for the classic “Nutcracker Suite“… you will (unquestionably) picture yourself merrily dancing down the lanes of long ago as you listen to this.

My choice for personal favorite of the twenty tantalizing songs Wayne offers up was easy… the closer, Carole King’s “You’ve Got A Friend” features horns swirling with glee all along the pathway… truly the most unique (and enjoyable) interpretation of Ms. King’s song I’ve ever heard!

I give Wayne and his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this most enjoyable sonic adventure.  Get more information on Wayne’s website as it becomes available.                     Rotcod Zzaj
