Exciting accomplishments and new musical adventures ahead for Faith Angelina – ZMR Awards Best New Artist

This entry is part 5 of 7 in the series Faith Angelina piano

Exciting accomplishments and new musical adventures ahead for Faith Angelina – ZMR AWARDS BEST NEW ARTIST, 2018:  I just can’t tell you how happy I am to see Faith accepting her award for “Best New Artist” at the Zone Music Reporter Awards show in May, 2018…

…part of my strong feeling about that is because I worked together with her (and her dad) to spread the word about her achievements via social media last year, but the other reason is because as I sit writing this post, I am listening to a few of the “initial mix” tracks for a new album she will be releasing later this summer, tentatively titled “Notes From Zion”… I will only provide samples for a couple of the strongest tunes I heard, but I can tell you right now, her composition and playing go far above the “sophomore” level as she digs down deeply and lets pieces of her soul flow through her fingers…

The first tune is called “Top Of The Mountains“… as you listen to it, you will realize that Faith’s pacing is ever more solid… there is no “rushing”, no feeling of “having to get the tune over”… the other most noticeable thing is that because she’s approaching this piece at that more introspective pace, she’s able to draw out wonderful overtones… this is absolutely one of the best compositions I’ve heard Faith do!

The other tune I was most impressed with is titled “Finding Your Why“, and just the title alone makes it worth the listen…she also is incorporating the lower tones in a much more dynamic fashion… by the time the final mix is done, I’ve no doubt that this song will be among those that catapult her to the award-winning level (again).

One of the most wondrous things, for this reviewer at least, is that Faith only recently turned 13… and she’s already a very accomplished and creative player.  Be sure and visit her Faith Angelina website soon, and spread the word to all your music-loving friends.  I will be continuing this series as the new album matures, so come back here often, as well.
