Exciting experiential musical excursions Paul Adams Elizabeth Geyer – Deeper Imaginings

Exciting experiential musical excursions Paul Adams Elizabeth Geyer – DEEPER IMAGININGS:  I first encountered and reviewed Paul and Elizabeth’s marvelous musical genius in issue # 161, so it’s been a bit… the wait was totally (like TOTALLY, man) worth it.  Their new album (to be released mid-to-late November, 2019) is one of the most exciting experiential musical excursions I have ever participated in… to get a real feel for their mastery, be sure to watch the video of “All That I Am” they created for this album…

…if you love music that makes you feel connected & loved, you will want to ENSURE you SUBSCRIBE to the Paul Adams YouTube channel, where you’ll find many more enchanting videos and performances – I did.

The nature sounds they wove into “Acceptance” display the amazing talents of all the players (Paul Adams: Guitar, sitar, chinese halusi, percussion, oud, synth, dobro; Elizabeth Geyer: Piano, flugel horn, vocals; Pravin Godkhindi: Bansuri flute; David Hoffman” Trumpet; Gary Green: Guitar and Alp Akmaz: Balaban (Duduk)), and the recording is absolutely flawless… this 5:36 masterpiece definitely merits consideration for an award… I predict it will be getting some MAJOR airplay on stations ’round the globe!

There’s a lovely and lighthearted spirit on the closer, “Hope For The Game“, and spoken-word beauty that meshes perfectly with all the instruments… for those who don’t know it, I got my “start” in recording/performing with spoken-word, and I can say, without qualification, that this performance is among the best I’ve heard in 2019 – totally enchanting… they will gently sway you into believing in that hope.

There are eleven sonic marvels on this album, and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one… the one that (easily) won my vote for personal favorite is the 5:26 “New Morning“… the “pacing” is perfect, and the song wakes you to the boundless possibilities of a brand new day!

I give Paul, Elizabeth and their players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of a perfect 5.00… this means, of course, that they also get my “PICK” for “most enchanting album”.  Get more information on their BandCamp page for the release.             Rotcod Zzaj
