Evocative musical landscapes William Campbell – All In Due Time

Evocative musical landscapes William Campbell – ALL IN DUE TIME:  One of the primary reasons I elected to stay in Olympia, Washington for the rest of my life is because of the artistic power here, and pianist William was a part of that scene a few years back… artists who lived in the Puget Sound area seem to have absorbed some of the energy and intensity of the “magic rocks” that Native Americans say are a part of the region.  It’s certainly true in William’s case… he paints exciting and evocative musical landscapes with his exceptional compositions.  To get a sense of William’s dynamic keyboard style, I recommend that you watch the following live concert video first…

I also strongly recommend that you be sure to SUBSCRIBE to William’s YouTube channel, where you’ll find many more exciting videos.

One of the most engaging solo piano performances I have enjoyed (so far) in 2021 is William’s 3:42 “Coming Home“… I am especially enchanted by his use of the lower registers to convey the moving emotional power of returning… I have no doubt that DJ’s of all types will be putting this beautiful song into frequent rotations!

You will totally enjoy the imagery William creates for you on the 4:10 “Into The Garden“… the beauty of fragile flowers and flitting butterflies will come alive for you as you listen to his mastery of the keyboard… simply brilliant upper register action… if I were on the the nominating committees for solo piano awards, this song would be nominated for (and WIN) an award.

The opening title track, “All In Due Time“, reaches right into your soul… what’s so impressive about this performance is William’s perfect pacing… from the very first bar to the closing note, there are changes you wouldn’t have expected; and, of course, that’s exactly what you want with solo piano… the unexpected!

Vast Expanse” is one of the longer tunes on the album, clocking in at 6:29… you should (without question) listen to this song with your headphones on, so every little nuance of William’s award-winning performance will be revealed to you… it’s no wonder that he’s an Oscar and Emmy nominee… this song would be perfect for a film score.

I give William a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for his highly intriguing solo piano album.   Get more information on his BandCamp page for the release.                                                  Rotcod Zzaj
