Delightfully rousing debut Diego Baliardo and The Gypsy Evolution – Este Ritmo

Delightfully rousing debut Diego Baliardo and The Gypsy Evolution – ESTE RITMO:   Do you know what’s still exciting after reviewing music for over 30 years?  NEW music… and this delightfully rousing debut CD from Diego (one of the original founders of the internationally famous group Gipsy Kings) excited me, to be sure.  Here’s a short clip from that band, so you can get a feel for Diego’s lively musical style…

There are a few more videos when you SUBSCRIBE to the Gipsy Kings YouTube channel – hopefully there will be more by the time this new CD releases on March 19th, 2021 (hint! hint!).

You’ll find the exuberance on songs like “Bambino” very attractive… even if you don’t understand one word, you won’t be able to resist the urge to “get up & dance” around your living room!

Even a simple outing like the opening track, “Me Voy A La Playa” (I’m Going To The Beach), becomes a matter of total excitement in Diego’s most capable hands… I predict that DJ’s (of all stripes) will be plugging this delightful song in for regular rotations.

“Este Ritmo” (This Rhythm), the title song, starts off with a gentle sway, but (again) will have you up and dancing by the end of the first minute… I just loved this song; it’s my personal favorite of the eleven excursions through Romani culture offered up!

I give Diego and his players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this lively offering.  Get more information on the Moondo Music label site as it becomes available.                           Rotcod Zzaj
