Delicate intimate tasteful jazz Dan Rose and Claudine Francois – New Leaves

Delicate intimate tasteful jazz Dan Rose and Claudine Francois – NEW LEAVES:  I recently reviewed guitarist Dan’s “Last Night” CD, with his elegant solo guitar works… on this new album with pianist Claudine Francois, the duo renews their friendship of 30 years to give you nearly an hour of delicate, intimate and tasteful jazz… you can check it out (right now) on the Dan Rose & Claudine Francois topic channel…

…since you’re there already, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to Dan & Claudine’s topic channel; I did it right away.

Their 5:14 performance on Monk’s Dream is one of the liveliest I’ve ever listened to; definitely in the true spirit of great jazz – FUN… I have no doubt that DJ’s across the globe will be dropping this into their playlists on a regular basis!

A totally unique of Horace Silver’s “Senor Blues” opens (appropriately) with Claudine’s piano, & then is seamlessly joined by Dan’s high-energy guitar… I truly dug this piece, and have no doubt you will, too… in fact, it’s this tune that made me decide to add the album to my iPhone player (something that only happens with the very BEST jazz).

After listening through the album twice, it was clear that my choice for personal favorite is Dan’s original,  the opener, “The New Leaf“… there’s a spirit of discovery and freshness on this 5:00 tune that makes it a true jazz gem!

I give Dan and Claudine a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98.  Get more information on the Ride Symbol Records page for the release.                                                   Rotcod Zzaj
