Darlene Koldenhoven intense New Age instrumental wonders Darlene Koldenhoven – Chromatones

Darlene Koldenhoven intense New Age instrumental wonders Darlene Koldenhoven – CHROMATONES:  I have the good fortune these days of receiving albums well before their release dates… ergo, the samples I’ve added here are non-existent at this point (I’ll come back and add them as soon as I’m told they are posted)… Darlene’s wonderful work is always welcome here, and I’ve reviewed her music many times – most recently her “Color Me Home” album

On my way down the road to watch a performance by Robin Spielberg, I had the distinct privilege of listening through Darlene’s new eleven-song “Chromatones” album – twice… once on the way down and once on the way back… as I listened to the marvelous and well-integrated percussion on the 5:46 “Red Savannah”, I was absolutely blown away… so, SO beautiful – you’re going to love this song, just as I did!

The strings on “Native Bloom”, and the wonderful flute works, when combined with the shakers and rattles, made it a perfect piece to listen to as I traveled over the magic rocks between my home in Olympia, Washington through the Cascade mountain ranges of the Great Northwest… each and every note is captured in sonic perfection on this great piece of music… Darlene’s instrumental work is simply beyond compare… I can easily see this song garnering multiple awards.

There is mesmerizing magic woven into the title track, “Chromatones”… the string washes and synth lines on this song alone make it well worth the purchase of the album… nothing too “fancy”, but it carries the weight of the ages right to your doorstep.

It was the sounds of nature that Darlene wove into intro on the opener, “Golden Dawn”, that made it my personal favorite of the eleven… and then, when the keyboard/string/whistle sounds are woven in, the song will help you to reach that calm and focused state that you’ve always desired, especially in today’s turbulent world.  I just LOVED this song, and have no doubt that you will, too.

Darlene gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as well as an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99 for this splendid New Age instrumental journey.  Get more information about Darlene and her wonderful work on Darlene’s website.  Rotcod Zzaj
