Brilliant piano performances Ann Sweeten – Change Is in the Wind

Brilliant piano performances Ann Sweeten – CHANGE IS IN THE WIND:  It’s been a couple of years since I reviewed Ann’s “Before Today, Beyond Tomorrow” album, but on her new release, she (as always) turns in totally brilliant piano performances… one of the masters of New Age recording and performance (Will Ackerman, the founder of Windham Hill Records) said “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Ann Sweeten for 15 years. Her latest album, Change Is in the Wind, furthers her legacy as one of the most talented pianists and composers on the scene today”.  You can catch a glimpse of her skillful performances in this older concert in Boston, too…

To hear her latest albums, be sure you SUBSCRIBE to the Ann Sweeten topic channel right away.

Some of the guest players on this new release are Nancy Rumbel (english horn), Eugene Friesen (cello), and Charlie Bisharat (violin)…. you won’t find samples until closer to September, 2021, but I can tell you right now that as you listen to the violin on “What Blooms Beneath The Snow”, you’ll hear why DJ’s who love piano will be airing this song over and over (and OVER) again!

I immediately fell in love with the title track, “Change Is In The Wind”, because of Ann’s shimmering keyboard on the song… she uses the full range of her piano to express a passionate hope for our future together – this is one of the most beautiful piano pieces I have listened to (yet) in 2021.

The swirling piano notes on the opener, “Arctic Dance”, easily made this song my personal favorite of the ten tunes offered up… when the other players join in, you will feel a sense of the peace that well-composed and performed music can bring you!

Ann and all her players get a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00 – which means that she also gets a “PICK” from me for “most peaceful piano album”.  Get more information on Ann’s website.       Rotcod Zzaj
