Appealing powerful jazz vocals Allen Austin-Bishop – Why Go

Appealing powerful jazz vocals Allen Austin-Bishop – WHY GO:  When I reviewed Allen’s “Sorry Grateful“, I pointed out that his jazz vocal style is “lush”… and it (definitely) still is on his new album… full of appealing powerful jazz vocals in his notable conversational style.  First, I recommend that you watch his video of “Both Sides Now” to get a feel for his treatment of the song…

…since you’re there already, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to Allen’s YouTube channel, where you’ll find many more performances.

Allen carefully chose the players… Dorian Ford – piano/keys, Mao Yamada – bass, Rob Hervais-Adelman – drums/percussion, Katie Edwards – saxophone and Fifi Homan – Cello bring out the best in vocals like “Ring Of Keys“… there’s no doubt this tune will be getting plenty of airplay ’round the globe!

I totally loved the laid-back keyboard intro on “Buffalo Ghost“, and have no doubt you’ll be listening to this song over and over again.

Groove is at the forefront of “Evergreen” thanks to the rhythm section, and easily captured my vote for personal favorite of the fourteen fun tracks offered up for our jazz journey.

I give Allen and all his players a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.97.  Get more information on Allen’s websiteRotcod Zzaj
