Absolutely amazing fusion rock Cody Carpenter – Force of Nature

Absolutely amazing fusion rock Cody Carpenter – FORCE OF NATURE:  This is a first listen for me (though I’m sure many in the fusion/prog-rock community are already dedicated fans of Cody’s fantastic keyboard/guitar/bass work); he’s joined on this sophomore release by Scott Seiver, Virgil Donati doing drums; Jimmy Haslip on electric bass; Guitar: PJ D’atri and John Konesky doing guitars, and mixmaster Jimmy Branly rounding it all out… I can tell you right now – THIS one is going to be on my iPhone player as a permanent resident… why?  The energy these folks create together is palpable, and their talent just shimmers with hope!  You can get a little glimpse in their promo trailer…

…Cody also has a ton of high-energy videos, so be sure to SUBSCRIBE to his YouTube channel, since you’re there already!

Listeners who like to SOAR across galaxies will certainly enjoy “Fantasy Of Form” as much as I did… very well-written and performed… Jimmy’s bass is just KILLER at about the 2:39 mark on this cut.

If you want a glimpse of what the Gods see when they’re moving their fingers ’round universes (kinda’ like “finger-painting”, lol), your ears are going to get OFF on “Elemental Convergence“… absolutely stunning… I predict that you’ll be hearing this in regular rotation on prog/rock/fusion channels around the globe!

My personal favorite of the nine tunes Cody has offered up for aural adventure, though, is the 5:20 “Playing In The Spirit World“… you get a real sense of floating through ether-space & wand’ring through the wormholes.

I give Cody and his excellent players a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99 for this superb musical experience.  Get more information at the Blue Canoe Records page for the release.         Rotcod Zzaj
