Absolutely accessible fusion jazz Pablo Embon

Absolutely accessible fusion jazz Pablo Embon – IN YOUR SKIN:  My friend & multi-instrumentalist Pablo Embon was recently reviewed on his “Harmony Tales” album, where he got really high marks… his upcoming (February 27th, 2021) release is some of the most absolutely accessible fusion jazz you will ever listen to… get a taste of the album by watching this excellent video Pablo produced for it…

If you enjoyed that lively preview of the album, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to Pablo’s YouTube channel, where you’ll find many more live performances (and albums) from the 20 releases he’s made since 2004.

You’ll hear some beautiful interplay between the keyboards and guitar on the 5:29 “The Day Will Come“… jazz DJ’s across the globe will find this most attractive, and I predict they will be spinning it often on their playlists!

A short tune (2:09) that I fell in love with instantly is “Jam Pie“… in fact, this track is what convinced me that the entire album deserves a spot on my iPhone player… & that only happens for the very BEST jazz.

There’s no question but that the jazz I prefer to review here is that which is filled with the joy and energy of life… the movin’ groove that Pablo creates on the 4:42 “Crack the Whip” will have you up on your feet and steppin’ ’round the room… the bass solo that kicks in at the 2:27 mark is just KILLER, and his piano style is pure perfection!

Pablo plays all the instruments, with supporting vocals by Virginia Tepsich and Melissa Embon… a superb keyboard intro to “Click On Me” morphs into one of the tastiest vocal jazz performances I’ve heard (yet) in 2020… I just LOVE this tune.

It only took one spin through the thirteen tantalizing tunes on the release to realize that my choice for personal favorite is the 4:46 “Riverside“… I felt that this song best represents the craftsmanship of a true jazz master…. this is a MUST HAVE album for any true jazz fan!

I give Pablo and his vocalists a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with a (perfect) “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 5.00… which means, of course, that he also gets a “PICK” from me for “most diverse jazz release”.   Get more information on Pablo’s website as it becomes available.                                   Rotcod Zzaj
