Muses9 beautiful haunting magic music Muses9 – Spring Begins

Muses9 beautiful haunting magic music Muses9 – SPRING BEGINS:  I reviewed the first album in this trilogy a good while back in issue #97, when the group was called 9Muses… in fact, they won a ZMR award for that release – “Best Groove/Chill Album“.

As you listen to the neat little “bell” sounds with full orchestral sound backing on “How About” from the new album, you will understand why they won that award… a very satisfying and inspiring set of movements that merit being listened to at the highest volumes (headphones recommended).  The most notable thing for me on “Spring Begins” is that the mixes seem much fuller than on the first album in the trilogy!

The opening track, the 5:04 “Angel“, will easily evoke images of the heavenly ones watching over you as you progress through the dense sunlight-dappled forest that is life today… the underlying beats on this composition are among the tastiest I’ve listened to (yet) this year… your spirit will be inspired, and you’ll feel the rush of the wind through your locks.

There are some very unique synth/pop sounds woven through the fabric of “More“; very attractive to listeners of all stripes, I’ll guarantee you that.  The one thing that could be improved on, in my opinion, is to create a full-blown website, so listeners who are digging this trilogy so far can follow Muses9 as the trilogy moves on to the third and final album and ever into the beyond with the next creations… in fact, what truly sets this band apart from all the other “Groove/Chill” bands is their creativity… they are a totally unique entity with talent that abounds and will inspire you as well… so, I’ll be looking forward to their new website.

My pick for personal favorite of the nine songs offered up is the driving “Cat and Mouse“… heavy beats push the song to the very edge, with great electronic swirls moving in, under, around and through the penetrating vocal!  I’m impressed!  9Muses gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from me, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.97… you can learn more at the new MUSES9 website.   Rotcod Zzaj
