Joshua Worden R&B triphop Joshua Worden – Cinders

Joshua Worden R&B triphop Joshua Worden – CINDERS:  Though billed (in the promo sheets) as “R&B” & “triphop”, it’s more the “trip” side of things that I hear coming through with the most clarity from this highly talented Atlanta-based artist… the EP release date isn’t quite determined yet, but you can listen to the single, “Bivens Arm” (which was released on November 10th, 2017)… agree with me, or not, I’m very much enjoying what Joshua has done here… he spent a bit of time “away” from recording, but is back now in full force. He has a haunting vocal style, and uses echos in a very unique way… I totally dug this song, and have no doubt you will as well.

I can hear (some) strains in there of one of my favorite “chill” groups, “Soulfood Music“, but Joshua has more of a “paced” approach… very impressive, especially on tunes like the 4:01 “The Wonder”… his beats are very precise here, and his vocal (again) shines and shimmers with a ghostly presence that will stick in your head, & have you playing this song over & over again.

Joshua is a true creative, and his music shines with the vibrancy of life… glad to see he’s back on the scene, to be sure… he gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from me, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.98, for this fine album.  Learn more about him at the Joshua Worden website.          Rotcod Zzaj
