Dan Kennedy shimmering emotional inspiring solo piano Dan Kennedy – Mountains Made of Shadow Anthems Made of Light

Dan Kennedy shimmering emotional inspiring solo piano Dan Kennedy – MOUNTAINS MADE OF SHADOW ANTHEMS MADE OF LIGHT:  Dan’s splendid solo piano work has been reviewed in my pages many times, starting with issue # 132, and most recently in issue # 157… what’s most notable about his playing is his magical ability to draw your memories out through his playing… as you listen to the powerful chords he plays on “Souvenirs“, you will be reminded of people, places and times that have brought you (both) sadness and joy, I’ve no doubt… I know I was!

Though it’s an older performance, you can get some very intimate insights into Dan and his playing on the following video…

…as you can see, he’s a versatile player who can play in essentially any style and succeed – marvelously!

I was particularly impressed with the solid left-hand work and magical overtones Dan drew from his keyboards on the beautiful “Give It All Away“… his playing here makes the idea of charity seem quite attractive and inspiring… this is (truly) the most brilliant solo piano piece I have heard (yet) in 2018!

The shimmering upper registers on the powerful closer… “The Fire Within” will allow you to look forward with inspiration and joy as you move forward into the light of a new year… a new age… a new YOU, if you will…

If any song in the solo piano arena deserves an award, it is my pick for personal favorite of the dozen Dan offers up… “Implying Flying” will allow you to emerge from those shadowed mountains as strongly as the high-flying eagles that roam there… the 5:47 length of the composition gives Dan room to help you maneuver through the raging updrafts and come out into the brilliant light that is your destiny.

I give Dan a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99.  Tap into Dan’s website to get the most current information about this superb aural adventure.         Rotcod Zzaj
