Christopher Boscole highly creative solo piano Christopher Boscole – Soul Dreams

Christopher Boscole highly creative solo piano Christopher Boscole – SOUL DREAMS:  What an absolutely stunning set of solo piano work to awaken to on a rainy Pacific Northwest Sunday morning… I’ve been reviewing Christopher’s highly creative solo piano works for many years now, most recently in issue # 129, so I’m quite familiar with the penetrating depth of his playing… as you listen to the joy he projects on compositions like the 3:37 “Happy Day“, you’ll hear why I’ve always loved his music… I particularly enjoy the way he uses his left-hand to kind of “emphasize” the chords in the right-hand… simple, yet vibrantly full of life.

Folks who read my reviews often will know that I believe that (what I call) “pacing” is the key to magical playing… in order to give you a “clear view” of what that looks like, I’m including a video Christopher performed live on (from an earlier album, “Presents of Angels”, which I reviewed in issue # 96)…

Did you notice how involved Christopher is in the playing, yet he’s able to use the keyboard to draw out his feelings, with no “over-drama”, or other gimmickry… absolutely stunning!

Christopher’s focus on this new release is the spirit, and as you listen to the purity on his title track, “Soul Dreams“, his ability to reach down deep into your own presence will help you to realize your own dreams… when it comes to solo piano, my friends, it doesn’t get any better than this… a perfect way to start off 2018.

It is the deep left-hand strokes on “The Question” that (easily) got my vote for personal favorite of the twelve tracks offered up for your aural pleasure… in fact, I’ll predict that this composition will be recommended for awards… Christopher is a true piano master, and gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from me, as well as an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99 for this fine album.  You can learn more at Christopher’s website.         Rotcod Zzaj
