Camille Nelson soulful violin guitar piano and vocals Camille Nelson – Lead Me Home

Camille Nelson soulful violin guitar piano and vocals Camille Nelson – LEAD ME HOME:  A wonderful string orchestra weaves in and behind Camille’s soulful guitar, violin, piano and vocal work, and she’s joined by Steven Sharp Nelson (cello), Alex Sharpe (vocals) and Ryan Shupe (fiddle and mandolin)… it’s most impressive, and if you’re a fan of well-played music that’s done with the energy of angels behind the players, this is your ticket to bliss!  I know whereof I speak there, too, because I was raised on music with beauty and passion like this (I sang in a church choir for many years, oh-so-far back)… I never had the benefit of such a splendid orchestra behind me, though… the best way for you to feel the raw and penetrating power of Camille’s superbly played music is to watch a recent video from the new album, featuring her gentle guitar and soaring violin, with Alex doing the spirited vocal…

…if ever there was a piece that would convince you that you need that “higher power” as an influence in your life – this is it… I’m not always attracted to YouTube videos, but this one got bookmarked (immediately) for my early-morning wake-ups here in the Great Northwest because of the fantastic video production!

I also strongly recommend that you watch Camille’s joyful and most unique interpretation of “Nearer My God To Thee“…the video was shot in Tibble Form Reservoir in American Fork Canyon in Utah, and the power and beauty of this grand world of ours is clearly reflected, both visually and through Camille’s wonderful playing… I just loved this tune.

Many times, artists are purely “home-grown”, and seldom venture far from the turf they grew up on, but Camille is well-traveled (she’s visited over 70 countries), and has (as you’ll hear) absorbed experiences from many cultures into her own works… her original (and the title track), “Lead Me Home” provides clear illumination of her talent and passion for the music… the strings are absolutely beautiful throughout the piece… you’ll be listening to this over and over again… award-worthy music, to be sure!

It is another original composition by Camille that gets my nod for personal favorite of the dozen inspiring pieces offered up for your spiritual enlightenment and aural enjoyment… “Patterns of Light“… again, it is the artful weaving of the strings in together with her precision guitar work that makes it such a pleasurable listen.  I give Camille and her musical compadres a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99 for this excellent musical adventure.  Learn more about this fascinating player at the Camille’s website.         Rotcod Zzaj
